    • They went after video games before social media - so its a new thing every time that people want to blame

      • Dating apps designed to keep them on the service - not churn out

      • Life is more unaffordable

    • Mental health really bad for kids

    • Boomers have hurt the subsequent generations

    • US minimum wage is very bad


    • Entire generation was told they MUST go to university - so they took loans - they were convinced to go to uni and protect themselves - but the opposite has happened

    • NYC terrible job gains so far this year


    • Young generation not mature enough

  • Need to end federal student loan program - will restructure American higher education

    • Humanities captured science - destroying all progress

    • Administrative staffing can get like 60% of funding - so if a professor gets $3M, $1.8M goes into administrative and humanities nonsense

    • Science and Engineering schools need to be separate - like in China, Germany, etc

    • Whatever government touches becomes more expensive

      • Total decline of behavioral standards in the schools

    • Public schools in america are run for the benefit of the teachers unions, not the children

    • Cost of education has gone up

    • Socialist mindset is that government should get involved even more

    • AI will help with this

  • Trump crime crackdown in DC

    • Big balls defended his girl and got hurt

    • EO - DC homerule act invocation

    • Last year DC had 4th highest homicide rate in the US

      • multiple times that of NYC

    • In May 2 embassy staffers were murdered

    • June White house intern was hurt/killed

    • Juvenile crime is huge in DC

    • Zero bail policy → revolving door through jail

    • Vehicle thefts off the charts

    • Broken windows theory fixed crime in NYC in the 90s under Giuliani and Bloomberg later - then it got worse with De Blasio

    • If Trump’s plan works it will show Republicans can handle crime

    • There are allegations of juking the stats

    • Learned helplessness where people stop reporting crime because they don’t think anything will happen

    • Partisan opinions

    • People should not live on the street - its community property - we can’t leave our stuff on the street, the government will take it away - so why should homeless be allowed to stay there?

    • Taxpayer dollars can be spent on putting people in mental institutions

    • Deep blue Austin had the same issue - their downtown was taken over so a ballot initiative moved them to a campground

  • VC returns vs public markets

    • Only 1 down year recently

    • Not too often you get 3 straight strong years

    • Public markets are more liquid, low fees and do well!

    • Power law distribution

    • The job in VC is to buy the power law winners, not buy the index because then you will lose to the market

    • QQQ is OP - owning the best companies in the NASDAQ is profit

    • Power law winner continues to compound after they go public

    • So find the people who can monetize their information asymmetry

    • Venture investor is about getting the inside information
