All In Podcast Episode 267 Recap and Notes April 10 2026

April 10 2026

  • Brad Gerstner back in for Friedberg

  • Just do stuff - build and don’t ruminate

    • Works at all levels of society and desires
  • Anthropic Mythos

    • Found many security vulnerabilities
    • Good job setting up Project Glasswing - signed up a bunch of amazing companies like Google, Apple, etc to find vulnerabilities before hackers exploit them
    • OpenAI and Google will likely do the same thing with their upcoming powerful models
    • While Anthropic has a track record of scaring people alongside their product releases or fund raising - in this instance it does seem they have been very responsible
    • Frontier Model Forum cooperates and coordinates on items of such high importance
    • Why did they contact these software giants and NOT nuclear reactor makers, airplane manufacturers, airline operators, etc?
  • Anthropic ankles OpenClaw

    • Switch to API usage instead of $200 bundle
    • Are they giving themselves an unfair advantage?
    • Apparent competitors for OpenClaw
      • Hermes
      • Anthropic Claude Managed Agents
      • Perplexity Computer
      • Alibaba qwen based?
      • Grok macrohard?
      • Apple siri type assistants?
    • Maybe lets be careful before we grant claude all access to our datasets?
    • Anthropic might have dominant market share in AI generated coding, but that market is a small percentage of the overall AI market
      • Say its 5% today - will it go to 95%?
      • There could be a flywheel here where the early leader gets access to the most code to keep training on
    • Core tech debt of mainstream companies will take decades to be replaced by these models
    • BitTensor Tao and other interesting projects
  • Anthropic revenue ramp

    • Clearly TAM is huge
    • This is when things are early, low penetration of global 2000, low penetration of wider use cases - imagine what could happen?
    • Anthropic/OpenAI (capital) vs Meta strategy (compute)
    • Meta and Google were profitable by year 3 and they never looked back (these companies aren’t like that but they are building AI which is more capital intensive)
    • So all the people a few months ago who said AI was in a bubble are all wrong now
    • Proves Silicon Valley is not spreadsheet driven - they are more ‘if you build it they will come’ - not east coast
    • The TAM of intelligence is not zero sum
  • Anthropic beat OpenAI over the last few months with execution

    • Altimeter invested well
  • All In Events - AIS 2026 and Liquidity Summit

  • Iran War

    • Vance et all traveled to Islamabad for negotiations
    • Trump belligerent tweets
    • Announces 2 week ceasefire
    • Israel bombed Lebanon
    • Seems Americans in general have a negative view of Israel

What's your favourite Iron Maiden song?

Part of the NWOBHM ( ignoramuses can go ahead and google that :P ), Iron Maiden have rocked for a long time, with many brilliant compositions (yes compositions, as intricately crafted as any symphony you philistines - the cadence of mcbrain's drums, the richness of dickinson's voice, steve harris's incomparable lyrics and I will stop before waxing lyrical about the guitars of Dave Murray, Adrian Smith and Janick Gers....man!). So what is your favourite Iron Maiden song? I ask because frankly I don't think I have one, and I doubt if its possible for me to single any one out. (get it -- "single"? I use it while referring to songs? mmmpff :D, k, never mind) (wrt the inaugural blog post which was in keeping with the spirit of this webpage, I thought I might as well clear the air regarding the only thing meaningful in the whole piece - the title )
